The worst problem facing queers right now has to be the lack of transgressive PhD topics. Gender, sex, phobias-it’s all been done. Luckily I have found a new gold mine of a topic. I hereby offer it to all you queer academic types for free, along with a catchy title: (Femme)inist Heresy or “Model” Behaviour?: Feminist Femmes’ Fascination with America’s Next Top Model (ANTM).

interesting angle on ANTM, Sarah. I hadn’t really though about queer representation is that show, which I suppose is a good thing. That means thy’re not making a big deal about it, which I don’t suppose they should, what with it being so commonplace in that industry.
total frivilous third-hand gossip: Apparently the cute one with the short hair (kim?) was hitting on the lead singer of Vancouver’s very own ladyband, The Organ, at CMJ in New York last year. Woooo!
